New Year - New Challenges

Today has been thoroughly wet and miserable and I have had to wait in for several deliveries, so have spent more time than is healthy on the internet.

This has resulted in me accepting the following challenge on Facebook.

Pay It Forward 2011: I promise to send something hand-made to the first five people who leave a comment here. They must, in turn, post this and send something they make to the first five people who comment on their status. (The rules are that it must be handmade by you; and it must be sent to your five people sometime in 2011).

I'm not quite sure what I or the poor five people who comment on my status have let ourselves in for. It has been a while since I did anything crafty. I do have a full year to complete the challenge, which makes it slightly less daunting.

Any ideas on items I could make that others would appreciate ? I wonder if chicks or hatching eggs count.

Hi Sandra, try as I might, I am not the most successful crafter, though I always hoped I would grow into being an artist. I am trying something new - turning old wool sweaters into felt and crafting with that. We'll see how it goes. Have a terrific weekend.

Sounds interesting, I'll look forward to seeing some of the end products on your blog : ) I don't really know where to start but I have time.

A busy weekend ahead poultry sorting and clutter clearing.

Have a good one too.

I have now extended the challenge to blog readers too ! I'm sure in a year I can manage to produce five acceptable items.

2 down 3 to go : )
