Shallots


The shallots have been lifted... a good crop. They now need to be sorted and dried. Many will be used for pickling, the rest for cooking- whole in casseroles etc. The ground they were growing in will be worked over and sown with beetroot and early carrots.

Onions of all kind have done well this year.

Tomatoes are taking an age to ripen though.
