March 19th 1987

Today the weather is beautiful, bright blue skies and sunshine. There was a slight nip to the fingers very first thing but otherwise glorious. Today 22 years ago it was snowing. I was in labour with my youngest son. The midwife lived in an outlying village and was snowed in. On her advice we phoned the hospital and were told to come in immediately because the minor roads were becoming impassable. How different today is...Happy Birthday .

22 how old does that make me feel ? I was a child bride of course !!

I remember that cold winter - I was working in St Albans and everytime the temperature in the lab fell below a certain point we got sent home. Trouble was, it was colder there than at work!! It's glorious here too - I'm having a quick rest to let lunch go down then it's back out gardening. Mind you, I don't reckon Winter is finished yet. We got married in April and it snowed.

It also snowed on my sister's wedding day, that was in April many years ago though....

I know ... I look in th mirror and think when did I get old! I look at my youngest son and realise that I had already had my eldest child when I was younger than him !!
