Ne'er cast a clout till May be out

So the saying goes and one to be heeded. For the past week or so the weather has been glorious, dry, sunny and even quite warm at times. Admittedly the winds have been biting and once the sun has gone down the temperature has dropped dramatically, but the sunshine is encouraging, a promise of things to come. The grass has started to grow, the flower beds have colour, trees are blossoming and seeds sown are beginning to germinate. There are young rabbits emerging from underground and birds are nesting........this morning white fields and ice on the livestock drinkers !

.......and the rest of the day ? the hottest of the year so far !!!!
